old-timer wisdom (feet and rib cage)

[old-timer] ... if you find yourself outside during winter, without shoes, and need to warm your feet ... find a cow lying down and make her move ... the ground under her will be warm and you can stand there to get out of the snow ... or you can find a fresh cow patty and stand in the middle of it ... that will really warm your feet ...

... if you shoot up a coyote, and it's not quite dead, and you are out of ammo ... step on its rib cage ... that'll kill it.

(how does a coyote kill a calf? ... by the ankle and the guts)

Water start flowing again in Magdalena
jun 27, 2013

“We have some water in our lines,” said village mayor Sandy Julian. “People are thinking that we’re dry completely. We’re not. We have some water. We don’t have as much as we used to. We’re only pumping 50,000 gallons a day.”

Rehab work on an old village well is expected to start next week, then engineers plan to re-drill the well that’s providing a trickle now.

jun 27, 2013

On Friday [jun 21], the village of Magdalena mayor and council approved a $200,000 transfer of funds from the general fund into the enterprise fund ...

In addition to approving funding, officials hired private consultant Justin King, owner of King Industries of Ruidoso, to help them determine the best long-term solution for the village’s water shortage issues. [it's the well, not the storage]

e: ... this is bizarre ... water is restored to Magdalena after weeks of hardship and nobody claims credit for the success ... the driller isn't even named ... was drilling done? ... "crews repairing the well announced it was finally fixed" ...

... why did it take 3 weeks to do if it was that easy? ... was that money really there the whole time? ... are you sure it wasn't $72,000? ...

p2 mandatory recycling (ABQ:coming soon)

e: ... Friedman Recycling and the City of Albuquerque ... another public-private partnership never mentioned to the public  ... and hidden by the media ... fascism is here ... the police state too ...

... (Governor Martinez did not mention even once the phrase "public-private partnership" during her 2013 State of the State address) ...

... the City of Albuquerque will FORCE the public to recycle by passing and enforcing fines for violations ... then Friedman Recycling and the City of Albuquerque will split the take ...

... need a higher rate of compliance? ... increase the fines ... need a higher rate of return for the shareholders? ... increase the fines ... need to employ a bunch of people? ... hire more inspectors ... pay more snitches ... increase the fines ...

... that is their big plan for growing the economy.

mandatory drug testing (mandatory recycling)

... what if the d.m.v. required mandatory drug testing for all drivers? ... would that rile you up? ...

... what if all parents of all students were required to take mandatory drug tests? ... would that rile you up? ...

... what if your mandatory health insurance required a mandatory drug test at least once per year? ... would that rile you up? ...

... what about mandatory drug testing for all gun owners? ... would that rile you up?

... why not just assign everybody a parole officer? ... would that rile you up?

... in south florida they are about to implement mandatory recycling ... with fines up to $2000 per offense ... if an "authorized" individual (ppp) wanted to make a mandatory random inspection of your home garbage, with the possibility of a $2000 fine in the air ... would that rile you up?

... it's bigger than just you being innocent or guilty of violating one particular law ... (though i don't want a p.o.) ... it's about this new subjugation of the population by the state with force, when the power of the government is derived from the people ... not dictated from above ... that is the issue ... and that should rile you up.

The Magdalena School District donated the transportation for this year’s camp; a value of about $2,000 – approximately half of the total cost of the camp. [complete lie]
