New Mexico Recognized for Roadway Inspection System
jun 5, 2013

A technology system comprising license plate readers and access to real-time federal data is helping state police improve safety on New Mexico roadways.

New Mexico’s Smart Roadside Inspection system made its debut in 2008. The technology can be used at state weigh stations, but its real advantage is portability. Officers can set it up on multiple roadways throughout the state to ensure safety compliance.

Magdalena village well out of water
jun 6, 2013

The village of Magdalena is scrambling now that its sole drinking water well has gone dry.

Cearley [village Marshal Larry Cearley] said Wednesday that Magdalena has applied to the State Engineer’s Office for the last four years to get a second well drilled and has been denied each time.

A Man, a Plan, 37 Water Wells: the San Augustin Desert
sept 20, 2011

It’s been four years since someone happened to spot a legal notice in the paper: an application from the Augustin Plains Ranch, LLC to the State Engineer for permission to drill 37 rather hefty water wells out in the San Augustin Plains. The plan was to extract 54,000 acre-feet of ground water per year.

US Fiscal Gap $222 Trillion (2012)

e: ... on march 27, 2011 U.S. Representative Steve Pearce made the astonishing statement that the US national debt was actually $202 Trillion ...
... a couple weeks ago i requested a current figure and a source ... and below is what his office sent me ...
... wow ... i believe it ... the true federal deficit (annual) and cumulative debt is at least 10 times any figure publicly acknowledged.

U.S. Debt Continues to Grow
aug 10, 2012

The fiscal gap is the present value difference between projected future spending and revenue.

The U.S. fiscal gap, calculated using the Congressional Budget Office's (CBO) realistic long-term budget forecast -- the Alternative Fiscal Scenario -- is now $222 trillion [2012]

Last year, it was $211 trillion [2011].The $11 trillion difference -- this year's [2012] true federal deficit -- is 10 times larger than the official deficit ...

In 2003 and 2004 ... fiscal gaps of $60 trillion and $86 trillion, respectively.

e: ... my question to Congressman Steve Pearce for the radio show:

Question 1: What is the difference between the $222 Trillion Fiscal Gap and the $17 Trillion National Debt?

Question 2: What is the difference between the $11 Trillion True Fiscal Deficit (based on Fiscal Gap figures for 2012 and 2011) and the $1.3 Trillion Official Federal Deficit (FY 2011)?

newest product trick (color switch)

e: ... everybody is stealing from you ... even the products you buy are tricking you ... the size is smaller than you thought ... the product quality is less at this store than at the other ... the spout hole is larger ... the measuring cap is impossible to read ... and the newest product trick: colored opaque plastic bottle with clear liquid soap ... the product only looks blue in the bottle ... when you squeeze it, the product is actually clear ... so you cannot see the quantity you dispense ... an utterly despicable product trick.

... i predict the republicans to use the same tactic in 2016 us presidential race ... will the democrats do the same? ...  clear product in colored bottles ... one fascist party.

Police can collect DNA from arrestees, [US Supreme Court] court says
jun 3, 2013

A sharply divided [US] Supreme Court on Monday cleared the way for police to take a DNA swab from anyone they arrest for a serious crime, endorsing a practice now followed by more than half the states as well as the federal government.

But the four dissenting justices said the court was allowing a major change in police powers, with conservative Justice Antonin Scalia predicting the limitation to "serious" crimes would not last.

"Make no mistake about it: Because of today's decision, your DNA can be taken and entered into a national database" ...[or] ... taking your DNA when you fly on an airplane ... [or] ... taking your children's DNA when they start public school." [Justice Antonin Scalia]

Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler agreed that there's nothing stopping his state from expanding DNA collection from those arrested for serious crimes to those arrested for lesser ones like shoplifting.
