VanDyke's Hyundai Accent was spotted by an unmanned traffic camera near Alamogordo, N.M. Because VanDyke's information is in the National Crime Information Center's database, the El Paso Intelligence Center alerted Holland Department of Public Safety investigators.
There is no criminal complaint against VanDyke, police said, but officers in and around New Mexico can stop her car to check her well-being, Dykstra said.

e: ... i just drove over to the neighbor's place ... and during the 3 mile trip i counted 50 hawks ... they were all sitting on the barbed-wire fence ... and they took off as i drove down the fence line ... i asked the neighbor if they migrated as a group and he said yes ... he said they were eating grasshoppers ... and there are indeed plenty of those here... thousands, probably millions ... nice big three-inchers, all the way down to babies ...
e: ... last week i saw mama cat eating the big grasshoppers too ... she was walking down the path in front of the house which was covered with grasshoppers ... and as they jumped out of her way, she would step on the ones that were too slow ... and eat them on the spot ... then walk a little further and step on another one, and eat ...
... i must be spoiling the kittens ... none of them are eating any grasshoppers ...
... also, furface has now been missing for a couple-three weeks ... and i now suspect that she may have gotten eaten ...
... a few days ago i found a fox den with at least 8 foxes in it ... i came home after dark and they were all running around about a quarter mile from the ranch house, just on the east side of the cattle guard ... then darting down a hole ... my car's headlights reflecting off their green eyes in the dark ...
... they are very cute ... little ones ... kit foxes ... probably eating the grasshoppers ... and maybe furface too.
