pt2 NM Livestock Board (new secret powers?)

e: ... this cattle story is beginning to look just like the vet extortion story ... (see: if she wants to get them back) ... where the state grabs the animals and demands payment from the owner before trial or judgement ... the state is supposedly grabbing the animals this weekend ... (yesterday and today) ...

... in the vet extortion story, the state is demanding $20/day/dog ... if the state demands $20/day/cow that would equal $360 per cow through June 13 = $360,000 for 1000 head of cattle ... the entire profit margin for the rancher ...

... the state is coming for livestock and water and ranches and you ... american fascism is here ...

A Tucumcari judge on Friday signed a seizure warrant that authorizes the Livestock Board to enter the Double V Ranch to provide food, water and care for the cattle. It also authorizes the state agency to seize and impound the cattle pending a hearing scheduled for June 13.

Officials: NM ranch had 1,000 emaciated cattle [lie; cattle still there]
may 24, 2013

The Albuquerque Journal reports that New Mexico Livestock Board officials served a search warrant at the sprawling Double V Ranch on May 17 and found at least 25 dead animals and many others at risk of starving to death.

The owner, Richard Evans, has been charged with 25 counts of cruelty to animals.

If a judge orders the seizure [1000 head of cattle], officials say the case would mark the first large herd seized by the Livestock Board.

e: ... if a dead cow carcass can get you charged with cruelty to animals then every rancher in the state is at risk for arrest ... and all their livestock is at risk of seizure by the state ...

... this is going to get ugly fast.
