Credit company collecting red light camera fines under fire

Creditwatch Services issued a press release Thursday stating the company is working on behalf of the City of Albuquerque to recoup the fines.

Additionally, the release states that the City Charter mandates collection of unpaid civil debt. KOB Eyewitness News 4 took Lewis’s concerns back to Creditwatch Services. By phone, a spokesperson for the company [Creditwatch] pointed to a contract that allows the city to take a percentage of the collected fine as it’s basis for its statements [ppp; fascism].

1. Public-Private Partnerships – when private industry provides public services for profit. The original taxes for the services remain in place, but a duplicative “service for FEE” structure is added. It is FASCISM, and it should NOT be considered as a solution to the State’s budget woes. It promotes monopolies and destroys small business. If the stakeholder is not a shareholder, he has no voice.

Unpaid camera tickets reported to credit bureaus

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Tens of thousands of Albuquerque drivers have been reported to credit bureaus for failing to pay their red-light camera tickets.

A company [Credit Watch] working for the private vendor [Redflex] that ran the city's [red-light] camera [ticket] program has reported 81,000 people [to credit bureaus] for the[ir] unpaid citations.

Due Process Clause

The Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution each contain a Due Process Clause.
