New Mexico State Police to use Nixle

Nixle pushes alerts and advisories to the cell phone numbers via text to the individuals that sign up for it.  It will also send messages to an email address.

... to push out relevant, important, need to know information to New Mexico's residents.

State Police will push out traffic alerts, road closures, severe weather alerts, amber alerts, silver alerts, etc.

Anyone can sign up for this.
