Meanwhile the [Albuquerque Bernalillo County] water [Utility] authority is sending [2] [4,000 gallon] truckloads of water to the town every day.

“This isn't the best way of doing things but we're making sure they have water every day and have plenty of water and that's the truck loads that are going up there,” says [Governor Susana] Martinez.

Albuquerque sends 2 water trucks [8 gallons per resident] to town that’s being hit hard by drought

“They’re in an emergency, and we want to help out,” explained David Morris, spokesman for the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority, as utility crews Friday morning filled the first of two 4,000-gallon water trucks for the 100-mile drive to Magdalena, in the mountains west of Socorro.
