pt8 Magdalena (not fixed)

e: ... it is not fixed ... it was a complete misstatement by local media ... "crews repairing the well announced it was finally fixed" ... is not true ... that's why nobody took credit ... and why no officials were named in the article.

Water start flowing again in Magdalena
jun 27, 2013

“We have some water in our lines,” said village mayor Sandy Julian. “People are thinking that we’re dry completely. We’re not. We have some water. We don’t have as much as we used to. We’re only pumping 50,000 gallons a day.”

Rehab work on an old village well is expected to start next week, then engineers plan to re-drill the well that’s providing a trickle now.

Fixing well priority for Magdalena
jun 27, 2013

On Friday [jun 21], the village of Magdalena mayor and council approved a $200,000 transfer of funds from the general fund into the enterprise fund ...

In addition to approving funding, officials hired private consultant Justin King, owner of King Industries of Ruidoso, to help them determine the best long-term solution for the village’s water shortage issues. [it's the well, not the storage]
