Skandera pt5 (confirmation hearing)

(feb 13, 2013)
original questions

i sent the following four questions to two news sites, the governor's office, the public education department, and some place called chiefs for change.

1. is "education chief" an official title for ms. skandera?
2. is "Secretary-designate at the New Mexico Public Education Department" an official title for ms. skandera?
3. does ms. skandera need to be approved by the legislature or some other body to become the official education secretary for new mexico?
4. how can an unconfirmed designate overrule the state Public Education Commission?

[Secretary- designate of eduation] is her correct title ... not acting education secretary ... not education chief ... education chief is just PR coming from the chiefs for change public-private partnership.

... PED responded on feb 14, 2013 and again feb 18, 2013 (see pts 2 and 3 at bottom) ...

Acting education secretary Hanna Skandera to get confirmation hearing Friday
feb 28, 2013

Until now, a hearing on Skandera’s confirmation had never been scheduled.

Skandera must be approved by the committee and then the Senate to earn the official title of secretary. [answer question 3]

If she is not confirmed, she would not be able to take the post or continue serving in the job. [answer question 4]

... there it is in black and white (above) ... i asked the governor about the legality of hanna skandera's position and actions ... and the governor tells me to go ask hanna skandera ...

... so i will clarify ... it is NOT legal.

... notice that both the news sites and the governor's office waited until the night before to tell you anything ...
... they are not on your side ... any of them.
